WEDA Node v1.1
v1.1.1_20261008.2
Changes since the previous public release: v1.1.1_20260902.1.
This entry combines the changes included in the intervening v1.1 builds.
Download: WEDA Node Activator installers.
Bug Fixes and Improvements
- Credential updates: Update Authentication Credentials now applies the selected file instead of continuing to use the previous credential. If the node cannot use a selected Device Credentials file, the update fails with
E5005and restores the previous credential. - Hardware identification: x64 Advantech devices report their actual board model instead of
ADVANTECH-EDGE. Removing and reinstalling WEDA Node in the same Activator session also preserves the model used by the device management agent. - Service restart: Restart Service no longer leaves WEDA Node without its service containers when restarting on a Docker Compose v1 host. It preserves the network used by AI model secured volumes.
- Hardware telemetry: Restored the default hardware-information and capability sensors:
hwinfo_motherboard,hwinfo_manufacturer,hwinfo_biosrevision,gpio_isSupported,watchdog_isSupportedandthermalprotection_isSupported. These sensors report once per day. - Installation: Corrected the container image versions selected by the installer and fixed an installation compatibility issue in an Ubuntu 26.04 live environment.
Operational Changes
- Updating credentials stops the WEDA services before applying the file, so the device disconnects briefly during the update.
- Restart failures are reported as
E4003with the Docker Compose error output.
Upgrade Notes
Caution: Credentials after a model correction
If an x64 device previously registered as ADVANTECH-EDGE, correcting its model changes the key used to protect its saved credential. A node with an Auto Provision master key can provision again. A node using only Device Credentials needs a new credential for the corrected model.
For the credential and activation steps, see Register WEDA Node.
