WEDA Node Installation

Overview

The installation wizard provides a guided process through six sequential steps:

1. License Agreement
2. Authentication Configuration
3. Device Model Configuration
4. Confirmation
5. Installation Process
6. Completion

Estimated Time: 2-5 minutes (dependent on network bandwidth)

Installation Procedure

Step 1: Launch Installation Wizard

From the main menu, navigate to "Install WEDA Node" and press Enter.

Required Actions:

1. Review the license terms (navigate with ↑/↓ keys)
2. Press Space to toggle the acceptance checkbox: [☑]
3. Press Enter to proceed to the next step

Step 3: Authentication Configuration

Select authentication method:

  ⦿ Auto Provision (Recommended)
    Centralized key management

  ○ Device Credentials Setup (Advanced)
    Manual configuration

↑/↓: Select • Enter: Choose File

Two authentication methods are available:

Option A: Auto Provision (Recommended)

1. Select "Auto Provision" using arrow keys
2. Press Enter to open the File Picker dialog
3. Navigate to the Master Key file (.bin) using arrow keys
4. Press Enter to confirm file selection
5. Press n to advance to the next step

Option B: Device Credentials Setup (Advanced)

1. Select "Device Credentials Setup" using arrow keys
2. Press Enter to open the File Picker dialog
3. Navigate to the Auth Info file (.bin) using arrow keys
4. Press Enter to confirm file selection
5. Press n to advance to the next step

Step 4: Device Model Configuration

Configure your device model:

> EPC-U2217

Type: Edit Device Model • Enter: Continue

Configuration Process:

1. The wizard attempts automatic device model detection
2. If the detected model is correct, press Enter to continue
3. If the field is empty or incorrect (defaults to "ADVANTECH-EDGE"), enter the correct model name (e.g., "ARK-1123H") and press Enter

Required Actions:

1. Review the displayed configuration summary
2. Press Enter to initiate the installation process
3. Press Esc to return to previous steps if modifications are needed

Step 6: Installation Progress Monitoring

Expected Duration:

• Fast Network: 2-3 minutes
• Slow Network: 5-10 minutes

Critical Warnings:

• Do NOT close the terminal window during installation
• Do NOT press Ctrl+C to interrupt the process

Step 7: Installation Completion

Post-Installation Management

After successful installation, the main menu is updated to display status information and management options:

Management Panel

Select "Manage WEDA Node" to access administrative functions. The interface displays a Service Status Overview panel containing version information, uptime statistics, and connection status.

Available Management Actions:

Action	Description
Update Authentication Credentials	Modify authentication keys or auth files
Restart Service	Restart all WEDA Node containers
Remove WEDA Node	Uninstall and remove all components

Service Status Overview

The Manage WEDA Node interface provides real-time system status information:
