WEDA (WISE-Edge Developer Architecture) is a modular, open orchestration framework designed to accelerate the development and delivery of edge AI solutions across heterogeneous hardware.​
Version 1.0.0 establishes the "Edge-to-Cloud" foundation, focusing on:​
  • Seamless Onboarding: Rapid activation via pre-installed utilities.
  • Fleet-wide Orchestration: Unified management of containers and AI models.
  • High-Performance Data: Real-time acquisition for AI inference and training.

    Real-Time Service Status: Live tracking of individual stack progress and logs of remote command execution
    Remote Container Lifecycle Management: Control container lifecycles of any device without an on-site visit, complete with audit logs for tracing

    Data Transformation: Custom user-defined functions (UDFs) for data normalization and contextualization with scriptable Math Engine (supports JavaScript)
    Rule Engine: Configuration of alert rules, thresholds, and conditions for real-time monitoring
  • Operations Management
    Visualized Transparency: Aggregated system info covering hardware resources and software services in ready dashboards. Simplifying complexity for running complex microservice clusters
    Configurable Metrics: Select key metrics of interest for tracking & collection, ranging from IPMI to container statuses to database health
WEDA NodeWEDA Node is the runtime agent that manages local execution, connectivity, and data processing at the edge. WEDA Sub-Nodes provide open-source templates to support data acquisition over a wide variety of IT/OT protocols.

    WEDA Activator for One-Touch Onboarding: Preloaded utility tool with Advantech hardware for rapid activation and environment configuration
    Secure Tunnels: Secure, on-demand remote access sessions (SSH) for troubleshooting and maintenance
    Credential Management: Secure provisioning of encrypted Master Key files and device authentication data
  • IoT Data Acquisition, Modeling & Pre-Processing
    Protocol Templates: Capture data with WEDA Sub-Nodes, via popular fieldbus and IT protocols (Modbus, MQTT). Sub-Nodes provide ready-to-use, open-source containerized templates for custom processing logic and sampling policies
    Advanced Telemetry APIs: High-performance retrieval with pagination and real-time caching for low-latency status updates
    Pre-Built Transformation Functions: Ready-made optimized transform functions for signal processing transforms, filters. Including templates for chunking, smoothing, noise reduction and more
